Keyfact #2

In the Upright MRI you do not have a constricting feeling during the examination, but experience a relaxed pleasant atmosphere.

The special feature of this MRI scanner is that you no longer lie in a narrow tube during the examination, but are examined in the completely open system while standing or sitting.

During the examination, you have a free view out of the system and look at a large monitor on which you can follow the current television program or watch video films. It is usually not necessary to wear headphones, as the upright MRI works very quietly.

In addition to the benefits of the Upright MRI, radiology practices have other factors that should contribute to your comfort:

The practice rooms are designed to make you feel comfortable. Bright, light-flooded rooms create a pleasant atmosphere.

During your stay in the practices, you will receive competent and friendly care from specially trained staff.

Due to the “fully open” design, even patients with pronounced claustrophobia (colloquially known as claustrophobia) tolerate the examination in the Upright MRI. In this case, sedatives or even sedation can be dispensed with.

The coils of the Upright MRI are also designed so that you have a clear view out of the system during the examination.

Specifically, this also applies to the head coil. Even during a cranial examination, you have a clear view out of the system and are in constant eye contact with our staff.
