Kinetic-positional magnetic resonance imaging
for difficult questions
The essential feature of the Upright MRI is that now, for the first time, an MRI examination can be performed upright and thus under the natural weight load. Whether standing or sitting, lying down or in functional positions – complete motion studies are possible with the Upright MRI. In many cases, this enables complementary and more meaningful diagnostics that cannot be achieved with conventional MRI examinations performed exclusively in the lying position.
For the first time, the Upright MRI provided by us allows a completely free positioning of the patient. MRI examinations can now be performed while the patient is standing, sitting or lying down. This is associated with a considerable increase in information regarding movement and statics, particularly in the area of the spine and joints, since the entire support and movement apparatus can be examined for the first time under the natural weight load.
In many cases, this enables complementary and more meaningful diagnostics that cannot be achieved with conventional magnetic resonance imaging examinations performed exclusively in the supine position.
